large-mango-wood-halo-angel-white-enamel
Large Mango Wood Halo Angel - White Enamel

A tall, white angel stands on a plain wooden base, her open outline letting the light through the middle of her gown. The shape is simple and calm, and it works as a single quiet focal point on a shelf, mantel or sideboard.

What you'll notice

The silhouette is cut as an outline: a rounded head, softly raised wings and a flared gown, with the centre left open so the wall behind shows through.

A smooth white enamel finish covers the front, and a fine edge of bare wood shows along each contour like a thin gold-brown line.

A loose bow of natural jute twine is tied at the neck, with two small wooden beads hanging from the ends.

The figure stands on a chunky rectangular base in warm, unpainted mango wood, with its grain left visible.

Mango wood and enamel

The figure is made from mango wood with a white enamel finish, and the base is left in the natural timber. The contrast is the whole appeal: the cool, even white of the angel against the warmer, slightly uneven tone of the wood beneath. The honey-brown edging where the enamel stops lets you see the material underneath, which keeps the piece from looking glossy or manufactured. As with any natural wood, grain and colour will vary a little from one angel to the next.

Placement and care

The open design reads best with a plain background, such as a pale wall or a window with soft light behind it. It sits well beside candles, dried stems or a stack of books, and it leaves space around it rather than crowding a surface. Dust it with a soft, dry cloth, and keep it away from standing water and damp, which wood does not like.

The angel as a quiet companion

Angels have long been given as a gesture of comfort, congratulation or remembrance, and the form is traditionally read as a watchful, gentle presence. This one keeps that language simple: no ornament beyond the twine and beads, and open arms held slightly out and downward. It is the largest of the halo angels in the collection, so it holds its own on a sideboard or hallway table.

Size and details

The angel stands 30 cm tall, including its wooden base. It is made from mango wood with a white enamel finish and comes from India.

A considered gift

It suits a new home, a christening or a first Christmas in a house. It also works as a thoughtful remembrance gift, because the plain white form feels gentle rather than sentimental. It looks complete on its own, with no extra styling needed.

Common questions

Is it freestanding?
Yes. It stands upright on its solid mango wood base and needs no support or wall fixing.

Is the whole angel painted white?
The figure carries a white enamel finish, while the base is left as natural wood.
