She holds a heart close to her chest, eyes lowered, wings open on either side. At 22 cm tall, she is a quiet piece for a shelf, a mantel or a windowsill.

What you'll notice

The whitewash is soft rather than stark, a pale, slightly weathered coat that lets the wood beneath keep some of its natural character.

Behind the white frame, the figure shows in a warm gold-bronze tone, so she stands out clearly against the pale wood around her.

The cut-out gown is scattered with stars of different sizes and a few small hearts, a playful detail against the calm of her pose.

The wings are cut in fine feathered layers, so the edges feel delicate even though the piece itself is solid wood.

She is flat and upright, so she sits comfortably where depth is limited: a narrow ledge, a bookshelf, the back of a console.

Mango wood and iron

The frame is mango wood, a warm, close-grained timber that takes a whitewash well and lets some of its natural texture show through the paint. The decorative cut-out figure is iron. The contrast between the pale, softly worn wood and the finer metalwork gives the piece its country-style feel: rustic in the frame, precise in the detail.

The gesture of the heart

Angels have long been given as gestures of care, comfort and remembrance, and the heart held to the chest makes that message easy to read. In this form she is a gentle, decorative figure rather than anything devotional: something to keep nearby for the feeling she brings to a corner of the home.

Where she sits best

The pale finish suits white, cream and natural-wood interiors, and the bronze-gold tone picks up warm lighting well. She works as a single focal point on a shelf, or in a small group with candles, dried stems or a framed photograph. A dry cloth is all she needs; keep her away from standing water and damp, as with any painted wood.

Size and details

Height: 22 cm. Materials: mango wood and iron, with a whitewashed finish. Because the wood is a natural material, grain and paint wear will vary slightly from piece to piece.

A thoughtful gift

She suits a new home, a birthday, a get-well gesture, or a remembrance gift for someone who likes soft, rustic decoration. The heart she holds says what a card sometimes struggles to.

Common questions

Is she freestanding?
Yes. She stands upright on her flat base, so she needs no hanging fixings.

What style of room does she suit?
Her whitewashed finish and iron detail sit best in country, farmhouse, Scandinavian or softly traditional spaces, though the gold tone also works against darker walls.

Will every piece look identical?
Not exactly. The wood and the weathered whitewash vary a little, so each angel has slight differences in tone and grain.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0756/8307/0266/files/mango-wood-angel-whitewash-with-iron-decor-cut-out-22cm-cover.png?v=1793513341
