stars-sign-mini-bowl-incense-stick-holder-aquarius
Stars Sign Mini Bowl & Incense Stick Holder - Aquarius

A small round dish in warm mango wood, its centre a midnight-blue and cream disc printed with gold constellations and moon phases. Set it on a shelf, a desk or a bedside table and it holds an incense stick upright while the ash falls neatly into the bowl, then holds your rings and earrings the rest of the day.

What you'll notice

The glossy lacquered finish catches the light, so the gold line-work seems to glint at the edges of the dish.

A small hole sits at the very centre of the artwork, in the middle of a breaking wave, and that is where the stick stands.

Around the wave runs a ring of twelve zodiac constellations, with crescent and full moons drawn beneath it.

The mango wood rim is thick and rounded, with the grain showing in honey and deeper brown tones, so each dish carries its own markings.

The shallow dish is wide enough to catch falling ash and still gives you room for a few small treasures.

Wood, lacquer and artwork

The frame is mango wood, left visibly natural at the sides and finished with a lacquer that deepens the colour of the grain. Set into it is a dark navy disc with a cream centre, marked in fine gold. The contrast between the soft wood and the celestial print is what gives the piece its character, and because wood is a natural material, the grain and tone will differ slightly from one dish to the next.

How to use it

Stand an incense stick in the central hole with the unlit end down, light the tip, let it flame for a few seconds, then blow it out so it glows. Always burn in a ventilated room and never leave it unattended. Wipe the ash away with a dry cloth once it has cooled. Keep the dish dry, as water and wood do not suit each other.

Aquarius in context

In Western astrology, Aquarius is the water-bearer, an air sign associated with curiosity, independence and original thinking. This dish is part of a series, with a version for each sign, and the Aquarius one makes a personal piece for someone born between late January and mid-February. People often keep a small object like this close as a quiet reminder of who they are.

Size and what's included

You receive one Aquarius mini bowl and incense stick holder. Incense sticks are not included. The dish measures 10×10×2.5 cm.

A considered gift

It suits a birthday, a housewarming or a thank-you for anyone who loves astrology, burns incense, or simply likes a pretty place to put their jewellery. It works for both purposes at once, which makes it more likely to stay in daily use than a purely decorative gift.

Common questions

Can I use it for something other than incense?
Yes. The shallow bowl holds rings, earrings and other small pieces, and the wooden frame is thick enough to keep them from sliding off.

Does it come in other star signs?
This design is made for Aquarius. Other signs in the series follow the same style with their own artwork.

How do I care for the finish?
Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth and avoid soaking it in water.
