La fragranza e la sua origine
Palo Santo significa "legno sacro" in spagnolo. Proviene da un albero originario del Sud America e il suo aroma è apprezzato proprio per questo calore secco e legnoso. HEM, casa indiana di incensi, racchiude questo carattere in un bastoncino prodotto in India. Il risultato è una fragranza calma e avvolgente, con un tocco dell’atmosfera rituale per cui il Palo Santo è conosciuto.
Come bruciarlo
Accendete la punta, lasciatela ardere per alcuni secondi, poi soffiate per farla brillare e consumare lentamente. Inserite l’estremità non rivestita in un portaincenso resistente al calore o in un raccoglicenere. I bastoncini d’incenso bruciano solitamente per circa trenta-sessanta minuti, anche se la durata può variare: controllate la confezione per i dettagli. Bruciatelo in un ambiente ventilato, tenetelo lontano da qualsiasi materiale infiammabile e non lasciatelo mai incustodito. Per spegnerlo, premete la punta nella sabbia o nella cenere invece di usare l’acqua.
Dove si inserisce
Il Palo Santo si adatta ai momenti di passaggio: l’inizio di una pratica mattutina, il passaggio dal lavoro alla sera o la quiete prima di dormire. Un bastoncino acceso mentre fate stretching, scrivete sul diario o semplicemente state seduti dona alla stanza un’atmosfera raccolta e contemplativa. È indicato anche quando desiderate rinfrescare un ambiente con qualcosa di più caldo di una candela.
