La fragranza

Prodotto da Satya, uno dei più noti produttori di incenso in India. I bastoncini sono arrotolati secondo il metodo tradizionale masala: una miscela di fragranza, resine in polvere (vanillina, cumarina, yara yara) e leganti, pressata attorno a un'anima di bambù. Il risultato è un bastoncino che brucia lentamente e sprigiona la fragranza in modo uniforme, anziché rilasciarla tutta in una volta per poi fare solo fumo.
Come accenderlo
Accendi l'estremità rivestita, lascia che prenda fuoco per qualche secondo, poi soffia per spegnerla: la punta dovrà restare incandescente. Inserisci l'estremità liscia in verticale in un porta-incenso o in un raccoglicenere; il bastoncino brucerà lentamente, sprigionando la fragranza. Brucia sempre l'incenso in una stanza ben ventilata e non lasciarlo mai incustodito.
La tradizione Satya
Satya è diventata famosa a livello internazionale negli anni '90 grazie al Nag Champa, l'incenso dolce come il miele e resinoso che si diffuse negli studi di yoga e nei negozi di dischi di tutta Europa e del Nord America. Il Coconut segue lo stesso metodo di lavorazione, ma sostituisce le note floreali e resinose più intense con una fragranza più leggera e facile da apprezzare, che non chiede nulla, ma offre solo un po' di calore.
