Vetiver: un parfum pământos și afumat, cu note dulci de iarbă, din rădăcinile ierbii khus. Rulat manual în India: masala aplicată pe un bețișor de bambus.

Amestec parfumat, rulat manual în India
Acesta este un bețișor parfumat de tip masala, obținut prin amestecarea unor materiale aromatice, a vanilinei, cumarinei și pulberilor de yara yara, cu un acord parfumat care surprinde caracterul pământiu al vetiverului. Nu conține doar rădăcină botanică de vetiver, însă amestecul parfumat este creat pentru a reda căldura sa profundă, rășinoasă.
Ardere
Aprinde capătul învelit, lasă-l să ardă câteva secunde, apoi stinge flacăra suflând ușor, astfel încât capătul să lucească roșu și să înceapă să fumege. Așază capătul simplu într-un suport termorezistent sau într-o tăviță pentru cenușă. Arde-l într-o încăpere bine aerisită și nu-l lăsa niciodată nesupravegheat. Aroma persistă discret pe țesături și lemn mult timp după ce fumul s-a risipit.
Din India
Aceste bețișoare masala sunt fabricate în India, unde tradițiile de producere a tămâiei s-au transmis de-a lungul deceniilor. Vetiverul este o aromă mai discretă din gama masala, mai puțin cunoscută decât Nag Champa sau Patchouli, dar realizată cu aceeași grijă la amestec și cu aceeași ardere lentă și uniformă.
