Licht gleitet über glasige Facetten und legt sich auf klare und milchige Ebenen — ein natürliches Kunstwerk, das im Laufe der Zeit in vulkanischem Gestein geformt wurde. Kühl im Griff, klar im Profil, still leuchtend. ✨

Dieser weiße Apophyllit-Cluster zeigt einen hellen, glasartigen Glanz, der von transparent bis sanft getrübt reicht. Ineinander gewachsene Kristalle erheben sich in scharfen Abschlüssen, ihre inneren Brüche und winzigen Einschlüsse fangen das Licht ein. Einige Stücke ruhen auf dunkelgrauem bis schwarzem Basalt-Matrix, ein auffälliger Kontrast, der das Wachstum einrahmt und das Funkeln vertieft. Roh und unpoliert bleiben die Kanten der Erde treu. 🪨

Gebildet in den Hohlräumen der Deccan-Basaltströme Indiens, wird Apophyllit von Sammlern für seine Klarheit und reflektierenden Flächen geschätzt. Der Name stammt von griechischen Wurzeln, die „abblättern“ bedeuten, ein Hinweis auf seine perfekte Spaltbarkeit und zarten Schichten — eine kleine Mineralgeschichte, die man in der Hand halten kann.
