Izrađuje Satya
Izrađuje ih Satya, jedan od najpoznatijih indijskih proizvođača mirisnih štapića. Štapići se ručno motaju tradicionalnom masala tehnikom: mješavina mirisnih sastojaka, smola u prahu (vanilin, kumarin, yara yara) i veziva utiskuje se oko bambusove jezgre. Tako dobiveni štapić polako izgara i ravnomjerno oslobađa miris, umjesto da nakratko snažno zamiriše, a zatim počne dimiti.
Kako ga paliti
Zapali obloženi vrh i pusti da gori nekoliko sekundi, a zatim ugasi plamen puhanjem tako da vrh ostane užaren. Goli kraj uspravno postavi u držač za mirisne štapiće ili hvatač pepela. Štapić će polako tinjati i oslobađati miris dok izgara. Uvijek pali u prozračenoj prostoriji i nikad ga ne ostavljaj bez nadzora.

Satya je postala poznata diljem svijeta 1990-ih zahvaljujući mirisu Nag Champa, medeno-slatkom, smolastom mirisu koji se pojavljivao u joga studijima i trgovinama ploča diljem Europe i Sjeverne Amerike. Kokos se izrađuje istom tehnikom motanja, ali umjesto izraženijeg cvjetno-smolastog mirisa donosi nešto laganije i ugodnije za svakodnevnu upotrebu — miris koji od vas ne traži mnogo, već samo pruža malo topline.
