Kézzel polírozott, lágyan formált, levélszerű szabadformára, kb. 45–55 mm méretű és körülbelül 15–20 g súlyú. Az alap szénszürke, erős, szögfüggő fényességgel, amit labradoreszcenciának neveznek, rétegzett, csíkszerű mintázatokat tár fel; egy finom bronz-arany folt is megjelenhet, ahogy a fény rávetül.
