Sahasrara is the thousand-petalled lotus at the crown of the head — the top of the yogic map, where the tradition places the feeling that life is larger than one's to-do list.

It has no element of its own; it stands a little outside the system, associated with perspective, connection, and the moments — on mountains, in concert halls, beside sleeping children — when the usual commentary in the head goes quiet on its own.

The tradition suggests no busy practice here. Silence, mostly. Sitting without an agenda. Letting the mind be a sky rather than a screen.

Clear quartz is the crown's stone — colourless, transparent, traditionally regarded as an amplifier of whatever it accompanies. Selenite shares the shelf, pearly white and almost weightless in the hand; amethyst reaches up from the third eye to meet it.

The crown's scents are the quietest in the catalogue: white sage, palo santo, a thread of frankincense.

Gathered below: stones and objects in Sahasrara's register — for the shelf above the desk, and for the minutes of the day that belong to nobody.
