Sonuç, daldırma yöntemiyle ya da kömür özlü yöntemle üretilen tütsülere kıyasla daha yoğun kokulu ve daha yavaş yanan, kalın bir çubuktur. Her çubuk elle sarıldığından kalınlıkları ve yanma biçimleri hafifçe farklılık gösterir.
Nasıl yakılır?
Kaplamalı ucunu yakın, alevin birkaç saniye tutuşmasını bekleyin ve ardından ucun kor hâlinde kalması için üfleyerek söndürün. Düz ucunu bir tütsülüğe yerleştirin ya da bir kül tablasına dayayın. Masala tütsüler, sade Japon tütsülerinden daha fazla duman çıkardığından pencereyi hafifçe aralık bırakın. Yanma süresi genellikle otuz ila kırk beş dakikadır, ancak her çubuğun kalınlığına göre değişir. Tütsüyü asla gözetimsiz bırakmayın.
