Tuoksu

Intialainen masala-suitsuke
Nämä noudattavat perinteistä masala-menetelmää: jauhetut hartsit, yrtit ja hajusteaineet sekoitetaan luonnolliseen sideaineeseen ja seos pyöritellään bambutikkuihin. Tuloksena on tiivis, hitaasti palava tikku, jonka tuoksu viipyy ilmassa vielä pitkään hehkun sammumisen jälkeen. Seoksissa yhdistyvät luonnonmateriaalit, vanilliini, kumariini ja puuhartsit sekä synteettiset hajusteet, jotka takaavat tasaisen ja pitkäkestoisen tuoksun.
Näin poltat suitsukkeen
Sytytä pinnoitettu pää ja anna sen syttyä muutaman sekunnin ajan. Puhalla sitten liekki sammuksiin, jotta suitsuke jää hehkumaan. Aseta paljas pää kuumuutta kestävään telineeseen tai tuhka-astiaan ja anna suitsukkeen palaa hitaasti loppuun. Polta aina hyvin tuuletetussa tilassa äläkä koskaan jätä suitsuketta palamaan valvomatta.
7 Archangels -perinne
Nimi juontaa juurensa kristillisestä mystiikasta, jossa seitsemää ylienkeliä – Mikaelia, Gabrielia, Rafaelia, Urielia, Chamuelia, Jofielia ja Zadkielia – kutsutaan rukouksissa suojelijoiksi ja esirukoilijoiksi. Tätä sekoitusta poltetaan usein hartaushetkissä, novenoissa tai hiljaisessa mietiskelyssä. Tuoksu auttaa keskittämään mielen ja merkitsemään pyhää aikaa. Laajemmin rituaalikäytössä se valitaan sen maadoittavien ja suojelevien mielleyhtymien sekä pitkän, tasaisen palamisen vuoksi.
