U svojoj srži, motiv yin–yang počiva u oštrom kontrastu: čipkasti bijeli polupar s otvorenim, tintno crnim polu, svaki noseći mali odjek drugoga. Dugi blizanci resica padaju u svijetlom i tamnom, njišući se u dva toka koja se susreću u tišini. Monokromatska paleta donosi jasnoću u prostoriju, dok tekući konci dodaju osjećaj lakoće.
