Great gift for a relative. Works best in a room with no draught.

I'm on my second one as hubby smashed the first one. So it must be good.

The product is good. The smoke doesn't last long but I guess we need bigger cones for longer lasting for that. My only issue is that the smoke doesn't fall into the crevice in the bottom. That makes me slightly annoyed so removed a star for that. There is a burnt smell but that is to be expected as you are burning something but yes there is a lingering base smell. So it is soothing.

Highly recommend, perfect as a gift or home use. Looks sleek as a decoration and is great value. Can't complain!

I've recently got into burning incense, but this product may have convinced me to stop. I'll give it this, the glass burner is beautiful, but the dimensions of the ramp for the smoke to slide down are not right, so the smoke doesn't fall straight, and just kinda floats off of it and into the room instead of into the bit at the bottom. Its quality is quite nice, but it's hard to clean once the incense has burned (which lasts about 5 minutes before it finishes btw). The smell of it is HORRIBLE. There is absolutely no scent off of it, and it just stinks of smoke. My room now smells like I smoke 20 packs a day. I don't touch cigarettes, but you wouldn't believe me if you smelt my room thanks to the incense. The sticks are just as bad. They smell terrible too. The mat is fine, and the designs are beautiful, but overall I would not recommend this product to anyone, and may bin it myself. Waste of money.

Prompt delivery and well boxed and packaged. Open and was surprised by the size as larger than had expected which went on to be a disappointment. Due to the height of the product the cones burn quickly as the draw on them is greater and therefore does not produce the desired effect for long. Also the base holds the smoke causing a smokey/burn smell rather than a fragrant smell from the cones. I have gone on to buy a smaller height burner again to get the effect from it as had before.

I was worried by some of the negative reviews, but I'm glad I gave this a chance. It is beautiful, arrived safely and in one piece. The cones are large, and the smoke drifts beautifully down the platforms forming a waterfall effect....exactly as I hoped. Even a slight draft will affect this though, so find a nice quiet corner for it, and you'll get the effect you were after! I'm not sure what people's expectations are, but yes, the scent can smell like burning....BECAUSE IT'S SMOKE!!! If you don't like the burning smell, I suggest you might try a reed diffuser instead to scent your room!! I am very happy with this product.

I bought the green incense waterfall burner which looks aesthetically pleasing. I bought this as a gift and thought I best try it before giving it, because the reviews were a mixed bag. When I opened the bag of scented cones there wasn't much scent. I chose the lavender coloured cone but it didn't smell like lavender before or after it was lit. It smelt 'smokey'. Many reviewers described the linger after-smell as the smell of bonfire charred wood, which is an accurate description, AND that unpleasant smell lingers after the cone has finished burning. A burnt cone does leave a tar substance after the cone had burnt and smells like nicotine tar, but it is easily removed with a tissue. In the interest of safety, don't assume that the cone is no longer burning because the ash looks like its down to the surface of the burner. I filled a small dish and with the tweezers supplied put, the cone into the water. I noticed that the cone was glowing red hot and sizzled when it went into the water. The waterfall effect was pleasing and relaxing to watch. It took a couple of minutes burn time before the smoke started to cascade down the burner. Some time ago I bought a bag of mixed cones, so I thought I'd try one of them. They didn't have a hole in the bottom of the cone, which is the secret of the cascading smoke, so it didn't cascade. I then tried another of my own cones, but used a small drill-bit to make a hole in the base of the cone. The deeper the hole the sooner the smoke begins to cascade. No way could I present this as a gift without replacing the cones with good quality 'waterfall incense cones', which can also be bought elsewhere.
