Was Rudraksha sind
Rudraksha sind die Samen von Elaeocarpus ganitrus, einem Baum, der in den Ausläufern des Himalaya und Teilen Südostasiens heimisch ist. Der Name stammt aus dem Sanskrit: rudra (Shiva) und aksha (Auge). Seit Jahrhunderten werden die Samen in hinduistischen und buddhistischen Traditionen aufgefädelt und getragen, bei Meditationen, Gebeten und im Alltag. Jeder Samen hat natürliche Rillen. Ihre Anzahl wird mukhi (Gesichter) genannt, und mit den verschiedenen Anzahlen sind in der traditionellen Verwendung unterschiedliche Bedeutungen verbunden.
Am Handgelenk
Die Perlen liegen eng und glatt am Handgelenk, das Holz fühlt sich warm auf der Haut an. Dank des elastischen Bands lässt sich das Armband leicht überstreifen. Der silberne Buddha ist klein und liegt flach auf: ein Akzent, kein Gewicht. Dunkle Rudraksha wie diese sind oft älter oder wurden absichtlich nachgedunkelt; durch das Tragen und den Kontakt mit den natürlichen Ölen der Haut wird die Farbe mit der Zeit intensiver.
