Kühles, transparentes Glas mit einem leichten Meerschaumton schmiegt sich an warmes balinesisches Gamal-Holz, wie Wasser, das ans Ufer strömt. Der weiß getünchte Boden lässt die sanfte, hellbraune Maserung durchscheinen; das Gefäß erhebt sich hoch und klar und endet in einem sanft ausladenden Rand. 🌊🪵

In Bali von Hand geformt, wird das Glas geblasen und, solange es noch warm ist, auf dem Holz ruhen gelassen, bis es sich perfekt an dessen Konturen anschmiegt. Der untere Teil fließt in einer geschwungenen Form, die die Struktur der Wurzeln sanft umschließt; der obere Teil bleibt glatt und langgestreckt und fängt das Licht auf seiner glänzenden Oberfläche ein. Winzige Luftbläschen und feine Wellen gehören zum Entstehungsprozess, und jedes Holzstück trägt Astlöcher, Rillen und wellenförmige Kanten, die seine eigene Geschichte erzählen.

Recyceltes Glas und nachhaltig gewonnenes Gamal-Holz vereinen sich hier zu einer ruhigen, funktionalen Skulptur – geerdet, klar und von stiller Ausdruckskraft. In vielen balinesischen Werkstätten würdigt dieser Ansatz zunächst die Eigenschaften des Materials und lässt mit Handwerkzeugen und Geduld die Form entstehen.

Platziere sie dort, wo das Licht durch den hellen Aquaton schimmern kann – auf einer Konsole, einem niedrigen Regal oder in einer ruhigen Ecke. Nutze sie als Vase für ein paar frische Zweige oder getrocknete Gräser oder lass sie leer stehen – ein besinnliches Objekt, das zum Anfassen einlädt und den Blick beruhigt. ✨🌿
