Een wierookstokje is een dun bamboestokje bedekt met een pasta van hout, hars en geur. Steek de punt aan, laat de vlam uitgaan, en het gloeit langzaam een halfuur of langer en geeft de kamer geur.

De geur
Jasmijn is een van de klassieke geurstoffen, die al eeuwenlang in Zuid-Azië wordt gebruikt in slingers, offers en parfumerie. Het karakter is rijk en witbloemig met een zachte zoetheid eronder, aanwezig zonder scherp te zijn, blijvend zonder zwaar te worden. Deze stokjes dragen die warmte goed, ze geven de geur gelijkmatig af terwijl ze branden.
De vervaardiging
Elk stokje is een gecoreerde wierook: een dunne bamboerug bedekt met een pasta die is samengesteld uit kruiden en parfumeriematerialen. Dit is de standaardvorm van Indiase wierookproductie, waarbij de pasta op de kern wordt gerold en gedroogd voordat het wordt verpakt. De hex wierooklijn wordt gemaakt in India, waar deze stijl van wierook generaties lang is verfijnd. De verpakking is recyclebaar.
Het branden
Steek het gecoate uiteinde aan en laat het een paar seconden vlam vatten, blaas dan de vlam uit zodat het uiteinde oranje gloedt. Leg het onbewerkte bamboe-einde in een hittebestendige houder of asvanger en laat het branden. Elk stokje brandt ongeveer 30 minuten. Brand in een geventileerde ruimte en laat een brandend stokje nooit onbeheerd achter.

Twintig wierookstokjes, elk op een bamboekern, uit de hex wierooklijn. Het totale gewicht is 40 g. Een houder is niet inbegrepen en wordt apart verkocht.
