Een wierookstokje is een dun bamboestokje bedekt met een pasta van hout, hars en geur. Steek de punt aan, laat de vlam uitgaan, en het gloeit langzaam een halfuur of langer en geeft de kamer geur.

De geur
- Copal is een boomhars die in Midden- en Zuid-Amerika al eeuwenlang wordt gebruikt bij ceremonies en als natuurlijke wierook. De geur is aards en zoet, minder scherp dan wierookhars, met een zachte rokerigheid die blijft hangen zonder te overheersen.
- Het aroma ontvouwt zich langzaam: een warme, licht balsemachtige opening die dieper wordt naarmate de stok brandt en de kamer vult met iets dat zowel aardend als ruimtelijk aanvoelt.
- De geur past bij het uur tussen dag en avond, of bij de momenten voordat je gaat mediteren of lezen, wanneer je wilt dat de lucht anders aanvoelt.
- Dit is de Obsidian-variant binnen Banjara's Cristal Gemas-assortiment, waarin elke geur wordt gekoppeld aan een edelsteenassociatie. Obsidiaan, een vulkanisch glas, wordt traditioneel geassocieerd met bescherming en helderheid.
Zo brand je de stokjes
Steek het gecoate uiteinde aan, laat de vlam enkele seconden branden en blaas hem vervolgens uit, zodat het uiteinde blijft gloeien. Plaats het ongecoate uiteinde rechtop in een houder of op een asvanger en laat het smeulen. Brand wierook altijd in een geventileerde ruimte, op een hittebestendig oppervlak en laat het nooit onbeheerd achter.

Een platte verpakking met wierookstokjes, gemaakt in India. Op de verpakking staat Banjara's bloem- en edelsteenmotief in zwart en goud, met een klein stukje obsidiaan zichtbaar in het venster.
