Koel, helder glas rust op een met de hand afgewerkte basis van Indonesisch parasietenhout — een ontmoeting van vloeiende vorm en aardse textuur. Terwijl het nog warm is, wordt het vaartuig op het hout geplaatst zodat het zich ontspant in elke richel, waardoor een pasvorm ontstaat die uniek is voor dit stuk. 🌿🪵

Het glas heeft een subtiele aqua-groene tint, glad en glanzend met kleine luchtbelletjes die zachtjes glinsteren in het licht. Het afgeronde, asymmetrische lichaam opent zich met een zachte uitzetting; eronder weerspiegelt een golfachtige contour het onregelmatige oppervlak van het hout zodat de twee natuurlijk verbonden aanvoelen.

De basis is een natuurlijk gevormde groei van licht- tot middelkleurig bruin hout met donkerdere accenten — nerf, knoesten en ruwe randen die eerlijk zijn gelaten. In Indonesië laten ambachtslieden zulke vormen vaak het maakproces leiden, waarbij ze het karakter van het materiaal eren in plaats van het te overheersen. Hier vormt het verhaal van het hout de rustplaats van het vaartuig.

Compact en gemakkelijk te plaatsen (ongeveer H11 cm op zijn standaard; kom ~9 × 11 cm; basis ~14 × 5 cm; ~400 g), het staat comfortabel op een nachtkastje, bureau of plank. Houd het als een stille sculptuur, of voeg water toe voor een enkele steel, een paar kiezelstenen of schelpen, of kleine herinneringen. 🔹
