De geur
- Vanille komt als eerste naar voren, daarna zorgt coumarine voor een hooi-achtige warmte en voegt yara yara (een boomhars) een lichte, houtachtige bitterheid toe die voorkomt dat de zoetheid te zwaar wordt.
- De geur bouwt langzaam op in plaats van de kamer in één keer te vullen, en wordt intenser naarmate de wierook langer brandt.
- De geur houdt het midden tussen tempelwierook en huisparfum: rijk genoeg om een ritueel te markeren, maar zacht genoeg voor een gewone avond.
- De geur blijft zachtjes hangen in stoffen en hoekjes en vervaagt geleidelijk in een uur of twee, in plaats van meteen te verdwijnen zodra het stokje is opgebrand.
Zo brand je de wierook
Steek het gecoate uiteinde aan, laat het een paar seconden vlammen en blaas de vlam dan uit zodat het uiteinde blijft gloeien. Zet het kale uiteinde in een wierookhouder of op een asvanger en zorg voor een beetje ventilatie, zodat de rook zich verspreidt in plaats van zich op te hopen. Laat de wierook nooit onbeheerd branden.
De traditie van de zeven chakra's
