De stokjes van Satya worden in India gemaakt volgens de traditionele masala-methode: een pasta van gemalen harsen, botanische ingrediënten en geurstoffen wordt met de hand om een dunne bamboekern gerold en vervolgens gedroogd. De formule legt de nadruk op de geur: vanilline en coumarine zijn synthetische aromastoffen die zorgen voor een vol, zoet karakter, terwijl yara yara (een natuurlijke boomhars) het geheel diepte en warmte geeft. Het is een eerlijke mix van natuurlijke en natuuridentieke ingrediënten, kenmerkend voor Satya's toegankelijke, rijk geurende stijl. De wierook brandt voller en zoeter dan een stokje met uitsluitend botanische ingrediënten.
Zo brand je het
Steek het uiteinde met de coating aan, laat het een paar seconden vlammen en blaas de vlam dan uit, zodat het uiteinde blijft gloeien. Zet het kale uiteinde in een hittebestendige houder of asvanger; deze stokjes blijven vanzelf rechtop staan. Brand ze in een goed geventileerde ruimte en laat ze nooit onbeheerd achter. Elk stokje brandt doorgaans ongeveer 30 tot 60 minuten, afhankelijk van de luchtstroom, maar de geur blijft nog lang in de ruimte hangen.
De naam en de context
De naam 'Money Bank' is symbolisch en niet letterlijk bedoeld. Hij verwijst naar de Indiase traditie om wierook te gebruiken bij rituelen of visualisaties rond voorspoed, kansen en de stroom van overvloed.
