🌿 Een kleine rookdoos van mangohout warmt zachtjes op, en een langzame geurwolk ontvouwt zich door patroonventilatie. Geworteld in India's lange wierookambacht en dagelijkse rituelen, brengt het een kalme, standvastige aanwezigheid op een plank, bureau of meditatiehoek.

Het stuk is gevormd als een miniatuur schatkist, met een koepelvormig, scharnierend deksel en gladde, met de hand afgewerkte oppervlakken die de natuurlijke nerf tonen. Diamantvormige uitsparingen op het deksel en discrete luchtgaten binnenin leiden de rook zodat deze zachtjes omhoog kringelt. Een cirkelvormig metalen plaatje binnenin houdt de kegel vast en beschermt het hout, terwijl een messingkleurige ronde inleg aan de voorkant een olifantmotief toont — een symbool dat in de Indiase traditie veelal geassocieerd wordt met wijsheid, standvastigheid en voorspoed. 🐘

Hoe te gebruiken

Plaats de brander op een hittebestendig oppervlak. Zet een wierookkegel op het metalen plaatje, steek de punt aan en waai dan voorzichtig de vlam uit.
Sluit het deksel zodat het aroma door de ventilatieopeningen verspreidt; ga er vlakbij zitten en adem langzaam.
Laat de as volledig afkoelen voordat u deze leegt. Veeg het bordje af en toe schoon om het netjes te houden.
