Gemaakt door ambachtslieden in Yogyakarta, Indonesië, wordt de snelgroeiende waterhyacint gevlochten en genaaid tot een stevige, platte weving die helpt om borden stabiel te houden en oppervlakken te beschermen tegen dagelijkse hitte en vlekken. Het is gemakkelijk te onderhouden: kruimels eruit schudden, afnemen met een vochtige doek en aan de lucht laten drogen.
