Qué es la rudraksha
La rudraksha son las semillas de Elaeocarpus ganitrus, un árbol originario de las estribaciones del Himalaya y algunas zonas del Sudeste Asiático. El nombre procede del sánscrito: rudra (Shiva) y aksha (ojo). Desde hace siglos, estas semillas se ensartan y se llevan en las tradiciones hinduistas y budistas, y se utilizan en la meditación, la oración y las prácticas cotidianas. Cada semilla tiene surcos naturales; el número de surcos se denomina mukhi (caras), y cada cantidad tiene distintas asociaciones en los usos tradicionales.
En la muñeca
Las cuentas quedan ajustadas y suaves, y la madera se siente cálida sobre la piel. El elástico permite ponerse la pulsera con facilidad. El Buda de plata es pequeño y queda plano: un detalle, no un peso. Las rudrakshas oscuras como estas suelen ser semillas más antiguas o envejecidas deliberadamente; el color se intensifica con el uso y el contacto con los aceites naturales de la piel.
