Warm, fluweelachtig hout stijgt op vanaf de eerste druppel — soepel, balsemachtig en stilletjes stralend, als kaarslicht dat zich in een kamer nestelt. 🕯️

Ook bekend als West-Indische sandelhout, wordt deze amyris essentiële olie gestoomdestilleerd uit het hout en de takken van Amyris balsamifera, een Caribische boom die liefkozend “candlewood” wordt genoemd vanwege het van nature olie-rijke hout. Hoewel verschillend van echt sandelhout, weerspiegelt het karakter die kalme afstamming: romige houtsoorten, zachte amber, een vleugje hars en vanille die met zachte diepte blijft hangen. In veel tradities wordt sandelhout gewaardeerd als metgezel bij reflectie en dagelijkse rituelen — een herinnering aan aanwezigheid en gemak.

Geniet van een paar druppels in een diffuser voor een warme, constante sfeer; gebruik in een oliebrander om gasten te verwelkomen; verfris gedroogde botanicals of een aroma steen om een leeshoek of meditatieplek te parfumeren. Prachtig op zichzelf, het combineert ook zacht met heldere citrus, lavendel of delicate bloemen voor een afgeronde, troostrijke mix. 🌿
