El aroma

Elaborado por Satya
Lo elabora Satya, uno de los fabricantes de incienso más conocidos de la India. Las varillas se enrollan siguiendo el método tradicional masala: una mezcla de fragancias, resinas en polvo (vainillina, cumarina, yara yara) y aglutinantes prensados alrededor de un núcleo de bambú. El resultado es una varilla que arde lentamente y desprende el aroma de manera uniforme, en lugar de liberar una ráfaga rápida seguida de humo.
Cómo quemarlo
Enciende la punta recubierta, deja que prenda durante unos segundos y luego apágala soplando, hasta que el extremo quede incandescente. Coloca el extremo sin recubrimiento en posición vertical en un porta incienso o un recogedor de cenizas. La varilla arderá lentamente, desprendiendo su aroma. Quémala siempre en una habitación ventilada y no la dejes nunca sin vigilancia.
La tradición de Satya
Satya alcanzó fama internacional en la década de 1990 gracias al Nag Champa, el incienso dulce como la miel y resinoso que se hizo popular en estudios de yoga y tiendas de discos de Europa y Norteamérica. El de coco se elabora con el mismo método de enrollado, pero sustituye el carácter floral y resinoso más intenso por algo más ligero y fácil de disfrutar a diario: un aroma que no te pide nada, solo aporta un poco de calidez.
