About this product

What you'll notice underfoot and in the room
  • The woven surface looks firm and tactile, with the slightly uneven character that gives natural fibre its warmth.
  • The tan and white palette keeps the mood light, easy to place with wood, rattan, linen and simple ceramics.
  • Its long oval shape helps define a small area, especially beneath a low table or beside a favourite chair.
  • The white border draws the eye inward, adding pattern while staying soft and neutral.
  • Seagrass has a naturally grounded, coastal feeling, suited to relaxed living rooms, bedrooms and conservatory corners.
Seagrass from Indonesia

Made from seagrass, this rug has the dry, fibrous texture people look for in natural floor coverings. The material is known for its rich surface feel and everyday durability, making it a practical choice for lived-in spaces as well as decorative corners.

How to place and care for it

Use it where you want texture rather than softness: under a coffee table, beneath a plant stand, or as a quiet accent in an open floor area. Vacuum regularly using a gentle setting, and blot spills promptly with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid soaking natural seagrass, as too much moisture can affect the fibre and shape.

Natural texture, neutral colour

The design keeps to two easy tones: warm tan seagrass with a white oval band. That contrast gives the rug a clear graphic shape, while the woven surface keeps it relaxed rather than polished. It works well in rooms that lean natural, coastal, bohemian or pared-back.

Common questions

Is seagrass soft like a wool rug?
No. Seagrass has a firmer, more textured feel, so it is best chosen for natural character, durability and visual grounding rather than plush softness.
Can it be used in damp rooms?
Natural seagrass is best kept in dry, well-ventilated spaces. Avoid bathrooms or areas where the rug may stay wet.
