The Made in Nepal collection brings these pieces together — each one shaped by the people and landscape of the Himalayan foothills, carrying the texture of natural fibres and the intention of the hands that made it.

The collection spans practical everyday pieces and objects for the home: hemp and cotton bags in a range of styles from compact pouches and fanny packs to large backpacks and laptop carriers; hand-knit boho hats with wired brims and natural fibres; handmade journals bound in Lokta paper, a durable and beautifully textured material made from the Daphne plant native to Nepal; and a small selection of inspired objects including wall hangings, an embroidery bracelet, and a singing bowl cushion.

Natural fibres run through almost everything here — hemp, cotton, and Himalayan hemp are the materials of choice for the bags and hats, prized for their durability and the way they soften with use. The journals use Lokta paper, which has a lovely natural tooth to it, holds ink well, and is more resistant to tearing than standard paper. Every piece carries the slight variations that mark it as handmade rather than machine-made.

How to choose

The bags cover a full spectrum of sizes and carry styles. A fanny pack or pouch works well for lighter days or as an add-on to a larger bag. Crossbody and sling bags suit active use and travel. For care, most hemp and cotton pieces can be spot-cleaned or gently hand-washed in cool water with a mild detergent. Lay flat to dry. Hemp becomes stronger when wet, so a thorough hand-wash will not damage the fibres — it simply softens them.
