Fabulous colour - the legs had seperated from the body - you could see the pins and had to glue and clamp them in place. But now he is perfect!

Very beautiful but the finish is limited. For one of them, the trumpet is like broken, and on the other it's the leg.

About this product
What the brass skull brings to a room
- A quiet point of contrast among books, candles, plants or mineral pieces.
- The skull shape feels symbolic rather than gloomy, more reflective than dramatic.
- Brass adds warmth to darker interiors and sits easily with wood, stone and natural textiles.
- Its small format makes it easy to style on a console, bedside table or collector's shelf.
- The vintage character suits bohemian, Gothic, eclectic and curiosity-cabinet styling.
Handmade brass from Indonesia
This piece is made from brass and comes from Indonesia. The handmade finish gives it the presence of a found object rather than a flat decorative ornament.
Brass naturally changes with handling and age. Some people enjoy the deeper tone and patina that develops over time, while others prefer to keep the surface brighter with gentle polishing.
How to display and care for it
Place it where it has a little breathing space: beside a stack of books, near a vase of dried flowers, or among other meaningful objects. It works especially well where warm metal can catch soft light.
Dust with a dry, soft cloth. Keep it away from prolonged damp if you want to slow patina, and avoid harsh cleaners that may mark the surface.
The skull as a symbol
Skulls have appeared in decorative and contemplative traditions for centuries. In European memento mori art, the skull was a reminder of impermanence and the value of living with attention. In Mexican calavera traditions, skulls are often treated with colour, flowers and affection during Día de Muertos, honouring memory rather than fear. This brass version sits in that broader visual language: a small sculptural reminder of time, presence and the strange beauty of ordinary life.
