About this product

Soft colour, quiet texture
  • The angel shape feels tender rather than ornate, with wide cream wings and a simple hanging cord.
  • Rainbow threads fall from the centre in relaxed, wavy lengths, adding movement without taking over the room.
  • The knotted cotton gives a tactile softness that suits bedrooms, calm corners and thoughtful little displays.
  • A pale central bead draws the eye into the knotwork, keeping the design neat and balanced.
  • It works well on a door handle, wardrobe knob, wall hook or seasonal tree, wherever a small textile accent feels right.
Cotton macramé from Indonesia

Made from cotton, this piece uses macramé knotwork to shape the wings, body and hanging form. The finish is soft and textural, with loose fringe creating the feathered outline and the coloured lower threads giving the rainbow its gentle drape.

How to hang and care for it

Hang it indoors from the cord, giving the fringe space to fall freely. Cotton wall hangings are best kept away from damp areas and rough surfaces that could catch the threads.

To freshen it, shake out dust gently or spot clean with cool water and a mild detergent. Do not wring the fringe. Let it dry flat or in shade, then smooth the threads back into place with your fingers.

The rainbow and the angel

Across many cultures, the rainbow is associated with hope after difficulty, change, and the promise of brighter weather after a storm. Here, paired with an angel form, it becomes a small symbol of care and encouragement rather than a formal religious object. The Hati-Hati name comes from an Indonesian expression meaning ‘take care’, which suits the piece’s purpose as a gentle keepsake for someone beginning a new chapter, moving home, or marking a personal turning point.

Common questions

Is it suitable for outdoors?
It is a cotton wall hanging, so it is best used indoors. Damp weather and rough outdoor surfaces may affect the fringe and knotwork.
Can the fringe be tidied if it arrives slightly uneven?
Yes. Lay it flat, smooth the strands gently with your fingers, and let the threads settle naturally before hanging.
