Owl Family Decor 26x16x6cm
A quiet corner feels softer with carved wood. This piece turns a tree trunk form into a small woodland scene, with an owl family resting inside the bark-edged form.
The contrast is what gives it presence: rough, dark outer bark around a warm carved centre. It brings natural texture to a hallway, reading corner, garden room or quiet corner of the home.

★★★★★ J.Very impressed!
I love it. It arrived in great shape but even had a little comb to detangle it, though it wasn't really necessary. For the price, I'm really pleased with the quality.

About this product
What the carving brings
- The outer trunk edge frames the owls like a natural hollow, giving the piece a sheltered, woodland feeling.
- The carved feathers catch light in small ridges, so the surface feels lively rather than flat.
- The golden-toned inner wood stands out against the darker bark, adding warmth without bright colour.
- The owl family motif feels gentle and watchful, suited to a calm room rather than a busy display.
- Its depth gives it more shadow and substance than a print.
Wood, bark and carved detail
This piece is made from wood, with the natural trunk edge left visible around the carved centre. The supplier context describes these Tree Trunk Carvings as being made from Chinaberry, also known as Jempinis, and Hibiscus trunk offcuts.
The design is carved in relief, with an owl family set into the recessed centre. Small variations in bark, grain and carving marks are part of the character of this kind of wooden décor.
Placing and caring for it
Keep it indoors where the bark texture and carved centre can be seen. It works well beside bookshelves, or as a quiet natural accent near houseplants and woven textures.
Keep the wood away from prolonged damp and wipe gently with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid soaking or harsh cleaning products, as these can mark the wood and bark surface.
Owls in the home
Owls have long been used in decorative art as symbols of watchfulness, night vision and quiet intelligence. In a home setting, that meaning is usually felt through mood rather than statement: a still bird form, a family grouping, a sense of shelter inside the tree. This carving keeps the idea earthy and simple, closer to folk woodland décor than formal symbolism. The use of trunk offcuts also gives the piece a natural honesty, with the tree’s outer surface still shaping the design.
