Four Gemstone Shapes - Amethyst
A set of four amethyst pieces from India, each carved into a different form: a heart, a sphere, an obelisk and a pyramid. The purple ranges from deep violet through to pale lilac, with white veining and cloudy inclusions running through each piece, so no two sets look quite the same. Made for someone who wants variety in shape rather than a single repeated form.

What it is
A tower is a stone cut and polished into a standing column with a pointed top, sometimes with six faces like an obelisk. A point keeps the tip the crystal grew, or is shaped close to it.
Why people choose it
- A calm vertical shape A tower gives a desk or a windowsill a quiet point to rest the eye.
- The stone at its best Polished faces show the colour and the lines inside the stone.
- For a shelf or an altar 5 cm towers sit on a desk; 17 to 20 cm fill a shelf.
- One piece or a set Some come as a set of three of one stone, a gentle start.
How to use it
- 1
Stand it on a flat, steady surface, away from the edge
- 2
Set it at the centre of a small grid with tumbled stones around it
- 3
Place it where you sit each morning, as a reminder to pause
Care: Tips chip if knocked, so hold the piece by its base. Selenite dissolves in water: dust it dry. Keep coloured stones out of strong sun.

★★★★★ L.M.Stunning
I bought this for a yoga, crystal loving friend's Christmas. It's stunning and I'm sure she'll love it. It's heavy with beautiful markings. It comes alive when lit. It was supplied with a warm white bulb but I think I'd prefer it with a cool white light to make it more ice like. Highly recommended!

About this product
What you'll notice
- Four distinct geometries in a single stone type. The heart sits flat, the sphere rolls in the palm, the obelisk stands tall, and the pyramid rests on a square base.
- The colour shifts across the set. Some pieces show concentrated purple in the core with pale edges; others carry streaks of white quartz cutting through darker zones.
- The polish is smooth but not glassy. Each form catches the light differently: the sphere shows colour evenly all round, the pyramid's facets brighten and darken as you turn it, and the obelisk reveals banding along its length.
- Natural inclusions and uneven colour distribution mean each set differs. The formations you see in the photo won't match the next set exactly.
Amethyst: purple quartz from iron and irradiation
Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz, coloured by trace iron and natural radiation over geological time. It forms in cavities within volcanic rock, where silica-rich solutions cool slowly enough for large crystals to grow. The purple intensity depends on the iron content and the length of irradiation; paler zones often form where the crystal grew more quickly or where the iron concentration dropped. This Indian material typically shows strong colour zoning and white quartz veining, a characteristic of amethyst from basaltic host rock.
How to place and care for them
Group them together on a shelf, a windowsill, or a meditation space, or separate them across different rooms. The sphere and heart sit stable on flat surfaces; the obelisk and pyramid stand upright without support. Amethyst will fade if left in strong, direct sunlight for weeks on end, so bright south-facing windows aren't ideal for long-term display. Wipe with a dry cloth; avoid soaking, as prolonged water contact can dull the polish over time.
The stone in tradition
Amethyst has been valued across cultures for thousands of years. The ancient Greeks believed it guarded against intoxication (the name comes from amethystos, meaning 'not drunk'), and it appears in Egyptian jewellery, Renaissance regalia, and Tibetan prayer beads. In the yogic tradition, amethyst is linked to the crown chakra and is often held during meditation or placed in spaces intended for quiet reflection. The four shapes in this set each carry symbolic weight in different practices: the heart as an emblem of compassion, the sphere for wholeness, the obelisk as a focus point, and the pyramid as a vessel for intention.
What's included
Four polished amethyst pieces: one heart, one sphere, one obelisk, one pyramid. Each set is carved from natural stone, so expect variation in colour intensity, veining, and inclusion patterns between sets.
A thoughtful gift
The variety of shapes makes this a generous present for someone starting a crystal collection, practising meditation, or simply drawn to the look of natural stone. It also works as a gift you can separate: one shape for the giver, three for the recipient, or four people sharing a set.
