La luz se desliza sobre las facetas vítreas y se asienta en planos claros y lechosos: una obra de arte natural moldeada en roca volcánica con el paso del tiempo. Fría al tacto, de perfil nítido, discretamente luminosa. ✨

Este cúmulo de apofilita blanca exhibe un brillante brillo vítreo, que varía de transparente a ligeramente nublado. Los cristales intercrecidos se alzan en terminaciones afiladas, con sus fracturas internas y diminutas inclusiones que captan la luz. Algunas piezas descansan sobre una matriz de basalto de color gris oscuro a negro, un contraste impactante que enmarca el crecimiento y profundiza el brillo. Crudo y sin pulir, los bordes se mantienen fieles a la tierra. 🪨

Formada en las cavidades de los flujos basálticos del Decán, en la India, la apofilita es admirada por los coleccionistas por su claridad y sus superficies reflectantes. Su nombre, de origen griego, significa "descascarillar", un guiño a su perfecta exfoliación y delicadas capas: una pequeña historia mineral que se puede guardar en la mano.
