About this product

What it brings to the room
  • The star shape feels playful without becoming busy, giving a bed, mantelpiece or quiet wall a clear focal point.
  • Black pinewood beads create a bold outline, softened by the loose, natural fall of the raffia tassels.
  • The open centre lets the wall colour show through, so it feels light rather than heavy.
  • A visible cord loop makes it easy to hang from a wall hook or small nail.
  • It suits relaxed interiors: woven baskets, linen bedding, rustic wood, warm neutrals and layered natural textures.
Pinewood beads and raffia detail

The design is built from rounded pinewood beads, with raffia tassels adding movement and a dry, fibrous texture. The contrast is simple and tactile: smooth dark beads, pale natural fibre, and an open star form that reads clearly from across the room.

How to hang and care for it

Hang it indoors where it can sit flat against the wall or move lightly from its loop. Keep it away from damp areas, as wood and raffia are best kept dry.

To clean, dust gently with a soft dry cloth or a light brush around the tassels. Avoid pulling the fibres, and store it flat or loosely hung if you change your display.

Made in Indonesia

Indonesia has a long tradition of using natural fibres, wood and woven textures in everyday decorative objects. This piece sits in that warm, informal design language: simple materials, a recognisable shape, and a relaxed handmade-style presence without needing a polished finish. The star motif gives it a cheerful folk-art feeling, easy to place in a bedroom, hallway, creative corner or celebratory setting.

Common questions

Can it be used outside?
It is best used indoors. Pinewood and raffia should be kept dry, so it is not the right choice for exposed outdoor walls or damp spaces.
Is it heavy to hang?
No. At 320 g, it is light enough for a small wall hook or nail, provided the fixing suits your wall surface.
