These sticks are traditionally hand-rolled on a bamboo core, using a blend of herbs, flowers, resins and oils worked into a fine incense mixture. They are made in India, with the reference source placing the making in Bangalore.

Place the plain end of the stick into a suitable incense holder or ash catcher. Light the coated tip, let it flame briefly, then blow it out so the tip glows and releases smoke.
