★★★★★ B.T.This bowl packs a punch
I bought this for my wife for Christmas & she really loves it. It was claimed it had a "great sound". It does. "Plays easily" - it does. At first I was worried that it would be too small, but it actually fits on her fingers well. I bought this after reading the reviews and was not disappointed. I…

It was the perfect size I was looking for, it's easy to transport but it has the right weight. The sound is fantastic. It came with a small sheet with instructions which will prove very useful if you've never used one. I use mine daily to purify/energise crystals and for Reiki practice. It looks…

★★★★★ J.Fantastic long sound and vibration
Long sound and vibration when rubbing the rubber mallet in a clockwise direction around the rim of the bowl. You don't even have to tap the bowl first to get the sound, just use the mallet and circle clockwise. Starts low then gets loud, you control how long and loud you want it to be. Perfect…

★★★★★ S.Great purchase
Am really pleased with this striker. Perfect size for my hand. Perfect shape for me and makes the sound much better than just the plain wooden strikers I have. Arrived a good week earlier than I expected it to also so that was a bonus. All in all very pleased with my purchase.

About this product
Ready for a quiet sound ritual
- The set brings the essentials together: bowl, wooden stick, cushion and pouch, so the ritual feels complete from the first use.
- The Buddha decoration gives the bowl a contemplative presence, suited to a meditation corner, altar space or bedside table.
- Black and orange tones add warmth and contrast, making it as pleasing to display as it is to play.
- Struck gently, the brass gives an immediate bell-like note, clear enough to mark the beginning or end of a quiet practice.
- Used around the rim, the wooden stick invites a slower movement, where sound follows pressure, pace and attention.
Brass bowl with wooden striker
The bowl is made from brass and paired with a wooden stick. Its decorated surface carries an image of the Buddha, bringing symbolic depth without overwhelming the form.
The cushion gives the bowl a stable place to sit between uses, keeping the metal slightly lifted and making it feel like a small centrepiece rather than a hidden tool.
How to play the note
For a clear struck sound, rest the bowl on its cushion or on an open palm and tap the rim lightly with the wooden stick.
For a sung tone, hold the bowl steady and move the stick slowly around the outside of the rim with even pressure. Small changes in speed and touch will shape the sound, so begin gently and let the bowl respond.
Care for the brass and wood
Keep the bowl dry and wipe it with a soft cloth after handling. Store the wooden stick and cushion with it, so the set stays ready for a short morning pause, a meditation session or a closing note at the end of the day.
The Buddha as a point of focus
In Buddhist art, an image of the Buddha often represents awareness, discipline and the path towards awakening. On a singing bowl, that image becomes part of the object’s quiet language: sound, stillness and attention held together in one small ritual piece. Singing bowls are widely used today in meditation, yoga and home practice, with roots in Himalayan and South Asian ritual settings. This one is made in India, where contemporary bowl-making continues alongside older devotional and craft traditions.
Size, sound and set details
The bowl measures 10.7 x 6 cm and weighs 0.4 kg. The full set weighs 650 g.
Approximate sound: 221 Hz, close to an F5 note. The set includes the brass singing bowl, wooden stick, cushion, pouch and hexagonal box.
A thoughtful gift for a quiet corner
This is a considered gift for someone who meditates, practises yoga, keeps a small altar, or enjoys objects with sound and symbolism. Its complete set format makes it especially suited to someone beginning a sound ritual at home.
