This piece is made from terracotta, a clay traditionally valued for its warm, natural character. It is handcrafted in Indonesia and finished in a soft cream colour with a raised bubble pattern across the surface.
How to use and care for it
Use it as a decorative vessel rather than a watertight vase. For dried flowers, grasses or sculptural stems, place them directly inside. For a live plant, keep the plant in its inner nursery pot and remove it for watering, letting it drain fully before returning it.
Wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid leaving water sitting inside, as this piece is not waterproof.
A small piece of pottery in context
The design draws on Greek-inspired decorative pottery, where rounded forms and repeated surface detail create rhythm and shadow. Its making, however, is rooted in Indonesia, a country with a long ceramic and clay craft tradition.
