A mango wood tree in layered tiers, with a glossy emerald-green centre that catches the light against the warm, pale grain around it. It stands on its own on a shelf, sideboard or mantel, and brings a little forest into the room well beyond the festive weeks.

★★★★★ L.Beautiful
I did not buy this to hang on the wall but to protect my settee from my dog's muddy paws, when we return from a walk. This way, I have my side (with this) and he has his side - the problem is that he likes my side better now but not a problem as it is far easier to wash then the settee's cushions…

★★★★★ M.Lovely picture.
Lovely picture. The listing said framed, so I was expecting a frame but it actually means canvas is just framed at the back it doesn't have a surround frame on the front. Very happy with it tho a great finishing touch to newly-decorated bedroom.

★★★★★ V.B.As advertised
Really lovely. We fitted this to a door and it looks good. Do check you know what size you're getting as the advert shows the larger one. We measured and went for the smaller one, which is fairly different to the image shown.

About this product
What you'll notice
- The wood is a soft honey tone with visible grain, so the outer tiers read as warm and natural rather than painted.
- The green is deep and glassy. It looks like a pool of colour set into the wood, with a fine pale edge outlining each tier.
- The tiers sweep downward and outward like branches, giving the silhouette movement even from across the room.
- A slim wooden base keeps it upright without any fixings, so it sits where you place it and moves easily when you change the room around.
- The contrast between matt, grained wood and shining green gives the tree a dimensional, layered look that flat decorations lack.
Mango wood and enamel
The tree is carved from mango wood, a timber valued for its warm colour and lively grain. Each piece has its own pattern, so your tree will differ slightly from the one pictured. The green is a layered enamel, which gives the deep, glossy finish set against the natural wood.
Caring for it
Dust it with a soft, dry cloth, and wipe the enamel gently to keep it shining. Keep it away from damp, as untreated wood does not enjoy prolonged moisture. Indoors, on a dry surface, is its natural home.
Why a tree, and why wood
The evergreen has long stood for endurance through the dark months, which is why it became such a familiar part of winter celebration in many European traditions. Carving it in wood gives that old image a quieter, more lasting form: something you can leave out for the season, or keep as a woodland note in the room all year.
Size and details
The tree measures 39.5 cm tall and 24 cm wide, with a depth of 2.5 cm. It is slim enough for a narrow shelf or windowsill, yet large enough to hold its own as a focal point on a console or mantel. It is a freestanding piece and does not need hanging.
