Cool, clear glass settles into a hand-finished base of Indonesian parasite wood — a meeting of flowing form and grounded texture. While still warm, the vessel is placed onto the wood so it relaxes into every ridge, creating a fit unique to this piece. 🌿🪵

The glass holds a subtle aqua-green tint, smooth and glossy with tiny air bubbles that glint softly in light. Its rounded, asymmetrical body opens with a gentle flare; beneath, a wave-like contour mirrors the wood’s irregular surface so the two feel naturally joined.

The base is a naturally formed growth of light-to-medium brown wood with darker accents — grain, knots, and rugged edges left honest. In Indonesia, artisans often let such forms guide the making, honoring the character of the material rather than imposing on it. Here, the wood’s story shapes the vessel’s resting place.
