These candle holders are handmade in Indonesia by skilled artisans, using petrified wood as the defining material. Petrified wood forms when buried wood is gradually mineralised in sediment, leaving behind the suggestion of grain in a stone-like body. Because the material is natural, colour, pattern and surface cracks vary from piece to piece.

Place one tealight in each holder and set them on a stable, heat-resistant surface before lighting. They work beautifully down the centre of a dining table, grouped on a console, or used as small pools of candlelight beside a bath or reading chair.

Let the holders cool fully before moving them. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after use, and avoid soaking the stone or using harsh cleaners. As with any candle holder, never leave a burning candle unattended.
