Boho Bathroom Vanity

Five bathroom vanities in albasia wood, each 66.7 cm wide, finished in pale washes — turquoise, white, blue, grey, and pink. The surface is treated with pigmented wash rather than solid paint, leaving the timber grain beneath. Albasia is a fast-growing tropical hardwood, light in colour and commonly plantation-grown across Southeast Asia.

The finishes

Each wash sits on the surface rather than soaking through, so the character of the wood shows beneath the colour. Turquoise runs cool and soft. White brightens without covering entirely. Blue is muted, closer to fog than sky. Grey stays neutral. Pink is gentle, barely there.

Albasia wood

Albasia falcataria grows quickly in humid climates — Indonesia, the Philippines, Papua New Guinea. It is pale, straight-grained, and workable, often used for furniture, carving, and joinery where weight matters less than form. The timber takes wash finishes well because the grain remains open enough to show through.
