About this product
A small ritual
- Draw the curtains and light the candle on a heatproof plate. Give the wooden wick a minute to catch evenly; it crackles as it settles.
- Brew a heaped teaspoon of rooibos in water just off the boil for 4 to 5 minutes, and drink the first cup away from a screen.
- Put the socks on and set a few carnelian stones where the flame shows through them. Before the next evening, trim the wick to about 5 mm, and never leave a lit candle in an empty room.
What's inside
- A wooden-wick soy candle, 'Whiskey and Woodsmoke', in an 8 cm grey concrete pot with a pale stag and felt pads underneath.
- 50 g of loose apple and cinnamon rooibos with grated coconut, caffeine-free, in a kraft pouch: about 20 cups.
- One pair of socks, 70% bamboo, size S/M (UK 3.5 to 6.5, EU 36 to 40): black, with a copper tree and falling leaves.
- A bag of 24 small carnelian agate tumble stones, no two quite the same honey or orange.
The pieces arrive together in one parcel. They are not gift-wrapped.
The clocks change at the same instant in all three countries: 01:00 GMT, which is 02:00 in London and 03:00 in Berlin and Rome. The EU fixed that hour in Directive 2000/84/EC, and the UK's Summer Time Order 2002 uses the same one.
