Flat Pack Gift Box - Med Hamper (24 × 18.2 × 8 cm) - White

• The shape is shallow and rectangular, closer to a tray than a deep carton, so everything inside stays visible rather than buried.
• The colour is a soft, warm white that sits closer to cream than stark brilliant white, a quiet backdrop that lets coloured soaps, candles or ribbon stand out.
• A pale, stitched handle sits in a shaped cut-out on the front of the box, edged with two small gold-toned fittings. It gives the box the look of a little case rather than a plain carton.
• The sides are clean and unbranded, with a smooth matte finish and crisp edges, so it looks tidy before you have added a single thing.

This is a flat-pack box: it arrives folded and is assembled before use. Once it is up, the lid closes over the base and the box holds its rectangular form. If you plan to post a gift, add some tissue or paper shred inside so the contents sit snugly and don't shift.

Assembled, the box measures 24 × 18.2 × 8 cm. That is roughly the footprint of a paperback book laid flat, with a depth suited to slim and compact items rather than tall bottles or large jars. It is a good match for soaps, candles, bath treats, skincare, stationery, jewellery, accessories and small personalised gift sets, arranged in a single layer or with a little height built up with tissue.

A hamper-style box invites you to build the gift yourself: a bar of soap beside a small candle, a notebook and pen, a few bath treats tucked around a favourite skincare piece. Choose a theme, such as a quiet evening in, a new-home gift or a thank-you, and let the white box act as the frame. It also works well for personalised sets, where the pleasure is in choosing each piece for one particular person.

Part of any gift is the moment of opening. A box that lifts open to a neatly arranged layer, rather than a bag to rummage through, gives that moment a little ceremony. The Japanese idea of tsutsumu, wrapping as a way of honouring both giver and receiver, captures the spirit well: the care you put into presenting a gift is part of the gift itself. A plain white box leaves you free to add your own touches, whether a length of ribbon, a sprig of dried flowers or a handwritten note.

Because it comes flat, it is easy to keep a few spare in a drawer for the times a gift needs presenting at short notice. Once emptied, the clean white finish makes it a tidy little box for keepsakes, letters or small accessories.
