About this product
The glow
- The salt filters light through cloudy pink, peach and white areas, so the glow feels softer than a bare bulb.
- The random-colour USB light adds a playful note while keeping the mineral shape at the centre.
- It is made for atmosphere rather than task lighting, suited to evening corners and low-lit spaces.
- Unlit, the rough crystal surface catches daylight with a natural, uneven texture.
The salt itself
Made from Himalayan salt from Pakistan, each lamp has the irregular look of a natural mineral piece. The photo shows warm pink-orange salt with paler cloudy patches, set on a round pale base.
Himalayan salt is hygroscopic, which means it can draw moisture from the air. That is normal for salt lamps, especially in damp rooms.
Shape, base and cable
The lamp has a rough, upright salt form rather than a polished shape. A black USB cable runs from the base, making it easy to place near a computer, power bank or USB plug adaptor.
Using it in your space
Place it on a dry, stable surface where the soft light can sit in the background. It works well beside a bed, on a work desk, or in a quiet shelf arrangement with books, plants or incense holders.
Keep the lamp away from water and very damp surfaces. If the salt ever feels moist, switch it off, unplug it and wipe the surface gently with a dry cloth.

★★★★★ SHAMTAM customerPack of 5 tiny little bulbs
Pack of 5 tiny little pygmy bulbs for the microwave oven. Considering their size, they give a decent light output at full power. They are a traditional incandescent bulb with a nice warm white glow. Fully dimmable too if you have that option. I find running at a low dimmed level gives a lovely yellow ambient light when
