About this product

What rudraksha are

Rudraksha are the seeds of Elaeocarpus ganitrus, a tree native to the Himalayan foothills and parts of Southeast Asia. The name comes from Sanskrit — rudra (Shiva) and aksha (eye). The seeds have been strung and worn across Hindu and Buddhist traditions for centuries, used in meditation, prayer and daily practice. Each seed is naturally grooved, the number of grooves called mukhi (faces), and different counts carry different associations in traditional use.

On the wrist

The beads sit close and smooth, the wood warm against the skin. The elastic allows the bracelet to slip on easily. The silver Buddha is small and sits flat — a marker rather than a weight. Dark rudraksha like these are often older seeds or have been aged deliberately; the colour deepens with wear and contact with natural oils from the skin.
