About this product
The scent in the room
- Patchouli opens deep and earthy, with a woody warmth that feels settled rather than sharp.
- The smoke curls softly from the coated stick, leaving the air with a richer, more grounded character.
- It suits slower moments at home: after work, before journalling, or while arranging a calm corner.
- The green Satya box has a classic incense-shop feel, with a cream and red label visible on the front.
- The sticks are brown along the coated length, with plain bamboo ends for placing into a holder.
Hand-rolled on bamboo
Each stick is a hand-rolled coated incense on a bamboo core. The plain end sits in an incense holder, while the coated section carries the patchouli fragrance as it smoulders.
Lighting and burning
Light the coated tip, let the flame catch briefly, then blow it out so the end glows. Place the bamboo end into a heat-resistant incense holder or ash catcher, away from draughts, fabrics and open windows.
Burn in a ventilated room and never leave incense unattended. Each stick has an approximate burn time of 30 minutes.
Satya’s Indian incense style
Satya incense is closely associated with Indian stick incense, where a fragrant coating is built around a bamboo core and burned slowly for atmosphere. Patchouli itself has long been valued in perfumery for its deep, earthy character, often used to add warmth and depth to a blend. Here it takes centre stage, making the incense feel more woodland, soil and dusk than floral or sweet. It is a simple ritual object, but a useful one: light it to mark a transition, scent a room, or bring a little ceremony to an ordinary evening.
