About this product
What you will notice in daily use
- The aged finish gives the boxes the character of found pieces, without presenting them as genuine antiques.
- They suit the quiet rituals of the home: removing rings at night, keeping small treasures together, or setting aside meaningful little objects.
- The metal embossing adds texture and shadow, so the surface catches the eye without feeling glossy or new.
- Brass fittings bring a warmer note to the design, softening the darker, vintage-style mood.
- Used for gifting, the box becomes part of the present rather than something to throw away.
MDF structure with decorative metal detail
The boxes are made from MDF with embossed metal decoration and brass fittings. They are replica pieces, aged to suggest the mood of older travel boxes and keepsake chests, so small variations in design, size and finish are part of their character.
For jewellery, trinkets and thoughtful wrapping
Use them where small things tend to gather: on a dressing table, beside the bed, on a hallway shelf, or in a quiet corner of a living room. They work well for everyday jewellery, small mementoes, handwritten notes, or as reusable presentation boxes for gifts.
How to look after them
Keep them indoors and away from prolonged damp. Wipe the surface gently with a soft, dry cloth, and avoid abrasive cleaners that could mark the decorative finish or dull the fittings.
Vintage style, not genuine antique
These boxes sit in the tradition of vintage-style decorative storage, where the pleasure is in the suggestion of age, travel and collected objects. Colonial-style boxes often draw on the look of portable trunks and keepsake chests, pieces associated with movement, display and domestic order. Here, that language becomes decorative rather than historical: a practical place for small belongings, with enough detail to make a modern shelf feel more layered and lived-in.

★★★★★ SHAMTAM customerBrilliant-looking boxes.
These caught my eye as I was wanting a small storage box, but with a bit of style to it. These look just like, 'pirate' style boxes which I love. The wood is solid and well treated, the rivets and straps are real (they don't actually serve a strapping purpose but look great, the hinge is good with a supporting bar to s

★★★★★ SHAMTAM customerBeautiful but clasps are delicate
These boxes are beautiful. There's a tiny padlock. I use the large box for medication and it's perfectly sized to hold them. The smaller one I use for keys and bits and bobs. They really are beautiful. The smaller box's clasp has broken but it's not worth the hassle of returning.

★★★★★ SHAMTAM customerGood quality, more on the medium side.
Great gift set nice box and ribbon, card and pull tissue paper included. Box is more on the medium side, not very deep so wouldn't be able to stack multiple things to keep in mind. But nice presentation and nice box. Good quality.
