Tarot Cards with Guidebook, Requiem Arcana

• The mood is macabre rather than soft, with skeletal imagery that suits deep, symbolic card work.
• Its gothic style gives each spread a strong visual atmosphere, especially for evening readings or a dedicated tarot table.
• The artwork invites close looking, where small details become part of the reading rather than simple decoration.
• It suits readers drawn to themes of transformation, intuition, fate, and the darker edges of archetypal storytelling.
• Collectors of unusual tarot decks will recognise its appeal as an art-led deck, not just a practical tool.

The deck is made from paper and centres on Vera Petruk’s skeletal artwork. The focus here is the illustrated world of the cards themselves: shadowed, symbolic and made to be studied slowly.

Use it for single-card reflection, larger spreads, journalling prompts, or as a visual companion to meditation. Shuffle gently, keep the cards dry, and store them away from damp or direct wear to help preserve the paper.

Tarot is often used as a reflective and storytelling practice, with each card offering images, archetypes and questions to consider. A shadow-themed deck brings that tradition into a darker visual language, where bones, mystery and transformation become part of the reading atmosphere. Rather than promising fixed answers, a deck like this gives shape to a moment of attention: a way to pause, choose a card, and read its imagery alongside your own thoughts.

This set contains a 78-card paper tarot deck with a guidebook. It weighs 250 g and is made in China.

A thoughtful gift for tarot readers, gothic art collectors, journal keepers, and anyone drawn to symbolic objects with a more nocturnal mood. It feels especially suited to someone who enjoys decks with a clear artistic identity.
