Two Cups, One Pot: Tea Gift Set for Two

1. Warm the pot and both cups with hot water and pour it away.
2. For the first pot, spoon about 2 g of the pale blend into the strainer, lower it into the pot by its chain and pour on water at 65 to 75 °C. Lift it out after 5 to 8 minutes, so the second round tastes like the first.
3. Empty and rinse the strainer, then make the second pot with 2 to 3 g of the pu-erh blend and water just off the boil, 90 to 95 °C, for 4 to 5 minutes.

• A jade green ceramic teapot, 200 ml, with a gold-toned handle and a filter at the spout, and two matching 50 ml cups, in a kraft gift box.
• 50 g of loose green and white tea: Sencha and Pai Mu Tan blended with apple, cinnamon and almond, about 25 pots at 2 g each. It contains almond.
• 50 g of loose pu-erh blended with maté, nettle and freeze-dried blueberry, strawberry and raspberry, about 20 pots.
• A stainless steel mesh strainer on a chain, finished with a raw smoky quartz; every stone is a little different.

The pieces arrive together in one parcel. They are not gift-wrapped. The pot and cups are ceramic: unpack them with care and wash them by hand.

Pai Mu Tan is the older spelling of bai mudan, 'white peony': a white tea from Fujian made from a bud and its two youngest leaves, withered and dried rather than rolled or fired.
