Recycled Molten Glass Bowl on Wood, Small

Each piece is made in Bali from recycled glass and Balinese Gamal wood. The glass is hand-blown, then relaxed while hot over a piece of Gamal root, where it cools into a shape that fits the wood beneath it.

The process uses natural materials and hand tools, so every bowl has its own balance of curve, grain and surface detail. That variation is the point: a useful vessel, but also a small piece of organic-modern sculpture.

Let it stand where both materials can breathe. The bowl brings softness to stone, metal and clean-lined furniture, while the wood gives a grounded note to coastal, Scandinavian and natural interiors.

Use it for dry display rather than wet arrangements. It is especially good for objects gathered slowly: a favourite pebble, a few seed pods, a strand of beads, or the small things you empty from your pockets at the end of the day.

Wipe the glass with a soft cloth and keep the wood dry. Avoid soaking the base or leaving standing water against it, as natural wood can mark or change with prolonged damp.
